Background - Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) is the body’s most important lipid (fat) soluble antioxidant, especially in cell membranes and lipoproteins. Derivatives of Vitamin E are good moisturisers, but do not have the same effects as Vitamin E, because they are not antioxidants.
